lATE AT Night...

I started the blog Mush in January, 2014 as an outlet for my musings on the challenges and joys of motherhood. I wanted to lighten up on the heavy, the d-u-t-y. Mush’s tone appreciates the heft of molding young hearts, minds and bodies into caring world citizens of the 21st Century, but it doesn't sink under this wave of parental responsibility and miss the boat on the buoys that kids provide through their cuteness, original observations and nerve. Children are what float this mom past the islands of dirty wash...

In May, 2014, my writing expanded to include stories on do-gooder neighbors for my local news source: bklyner.com. Everyone I profile is doing something uplifting in their community.

In January, 2019, I popped the cork on a bottle of non-alcoholic sparkling cider with my first publication in The Fix, an online recovery journal.

In April, 2019, I added a second blog, Happy Hour. Through it, I prod my positive mood to attention by finding the funny in daily “disasters”, and noting appreciation for things both massive and minute.
